  2. Online Direct Donations: One-time or recurring monthly donations can be made directly to Power House via PayPal. Follow this hyperlink to make your donation today.

  4. Qualified Charitable Donations (QCD): If you are over 70.5 years old and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you may be able to donate via QCD. These tax-free donations are made from the IRA itself and are excluded from the donor’s taxable income. Rules do apply, so please connect with your retirement advisor to see if this is a good fit.
  5. Stock Donations: If you have owned a stock for over 12 months and its value has appreciated, you may be able to donate that asset as an income tax charitable donation for its full market value. Donating stock removes capital gains tax implications for the original owner. Rules do apply, so please connect with your financial advisor to see if this is a good fit. Donations Make Power House Possible

With your support we are able to provide the following to our guests:

  1. Weekly Recovery Meetings & House Circles: We provide coffee and snacks for structured group meetings that promote transparency, goal-setting, and peer accountability in a family-style setting
  2. Monthly Celebration Meal: We host a buffet dinner for all guests to convene, break bread, and celebrate one another’s successes and milestones
  3. Bi-Annual Retreats: We gift the men a day or two away from the normal grind, these events build camaraderie, belonging and character (e.g. deep sea fishing, ski trip, camping, etc) 
  4. Daily Room Checks & Chore Systems: Staff-led oversight and supplies to maintain cleanliness, order, and shared responsibility
  5. Random Drug & Alcohol Testing: Breathalizers, urine analysis test kits, and lab services to ensure a safe, sober environment for all
  6. Attendance Monitoring Tools: Systems to track compliance with work, school, and AA/NA meeting attendance requirements
  7. Certified Sobriety Coaching: Weekly one-on-one sessions with a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor to guide guests through relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and long-term recovery planning
  8. Financial Literacy & Credit Restoration Coaching: One-on-one guidance on budgeting, debt management, and rebuilding credit
  9. Time Management & Productivity Coaching: Tools and training to help guests structure their days, set priorities, and build routines 
  10. Career Development Support: We provide shared computers, printers and internet access along with resume writing tools, interview practice and professional goal-setting. Guests access additional job placement support through Chrysalis.  
  11. Health & Wellness Promotion: Encouragement and support for adherence to ongoing outpatient treatment, medical appointments, fitness routines, mental health check-ins, and individual therapy with our partner Alcott Center for Mental Health
  12. Criminal Justice Advocacy: Assistance with Probation and/or Parole compliance, ongoing court appearances, compliance letters for Child Protective Services, and any ordered documentation including individual progress reports
  13. Re-entry Planning: Support for guests transitioning into Power House from treatment post incarceration or other court-mandated programs, as well as transitions from Power House to independent living for their sustained sobriety
  14. Peer Mentorship Program: Training and support for longer-term guests to mentor newcomers, fostering leadership and mutual reinforcement
  15. Well appointed living quarters: Two-man rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, clean linens, and functional storage; communal living spaces are thoughtfully designed to foster connection, dignity, and rest 
  16. Tiered monthly contribution rates: Our payment structure adjusts based on employment status, income level, and stage in recovery which promotes accountability while ensuring no one is turned away for financial hardship
  17. Emergency financial assistance (S+J Emergency Fund): Short-term, structured aid for guests facing unexpected financial strain including job loss, medical bills, or transportation issues. These emergency supports help stabilize financial stressors and prevent disruptions to recovery.
  18. Data collections systems: Digital tools and staff protocols to track guest and alumni progress, program compliance, and long-term outcomes to guide continuous improvement and demonstrate impact
  19. 24/7 security: Around the clock video security systems capture all activities in the communal living spaces and outdoor areas of the property, as well as overnight onsite security staff
